Don't get me wrong, I'm not anorexic or anything. I simply lack the desire to eat. For the past few days I've been living on cereal alone. Every time I look at what I have in my house, it's mostly sauces and the same old veggies, eggs, bread, and meat. I've grown tired of the ways this stuff is usually cooked (spaghetti, various egg dishes, steamed veggies, etc.), but I know of no new ways to use what I already have to get me interested in eating. I'm starving right now, but my body refuses to eat because it's become a chore.
Are there any simple, yet tasty, recipes that will solve my problem? Keeping in mind that we don't have much variety in anything here... not even a bell pepper in sight.Are there any simple recipes (using foods one would have in the home) that can get me interested in food?
I know what you mean. I get tired of my own cooking periodically. How about a trip to the market for some more-exciting ingredients to inspire you? If possible, make it the Asian or African market.
If I had to subsist on steamed veggies, I can guarantee I'd weigh a lot less but enjoy it a lot less, too!
