Need a simple quick recipe for a pudding filling for a birthday cake?

I have about 3 hours - I have vanilla %26amp; choc instant pudding , but I am thinking just making the pudding like the directions say might not be thick enough- HELPNeed a simple quick recipe for a pudding filling for a birthday cake?
Instant is not thick enough. You need the pudding you cook. It works for me perfectly. Hope it works for you good luck sounds yummyNeed a simple quick recipe for a pudding filling for a birthday cake?
it should work I always follow the pie directions let it thicken then use it I use lemon for the filling in my coconut cake
Make like it says Only don't use the milk Use heavy cream instead ,The heavy cream will make it lite and fluffy and no fridge time it's ready to use. Use hand mixer it is what makes it lite and creamy - if not just beat the heck out of it

Good Luck and Enjoy
If you dont have heavy cream, which would thicken the pudding, try reducing the amount of milk you use and letting it sit for as long as you can.
