www.kraftfoods.com has some very simple recipes
my favorite is the 15-min mexican chicken
my slightly modified version:
cut 1 lb of skinless boneless chicken breast into bite size pieces, season with salt and pepper; cook over med-high heat (in a nonstick skillet or with 1T of oil) until no longer pink in center
add 2 cups of water and 1 cup of chunky salsa (jarred or homemade), mix well; bring to a boil
add 2 cups of instant rice, one 8oz. can of corn (drained), and 1/2 can of whatever kind of beans you like(also drained); cover and cook on low for 5 minutes
add shredded cheddar or mexican blend cheese, stir together so cheese melts; serve warm and enjoy
chicken wings
the marinade: (this makes it)
1/2 part soy sauce
1/2 part lemon juice (i use the bottle kind)
2-3 tbls of garlic (i use out of the jar)
you could obviously use fresh ingredients but this is the way i know and i promise you its so good, i hate soy sauce but these too mixed make a taste that is so unbeliveable its nothing you would imagine it to be i promise.
-marinate the chicken wings either for a couple hours, or overnight.
-cook for 45 min on 350...they should be brown on the top
cowboy beans
ground hamburger meat
onion
green pepper
ketchup
brown sugar
fry meat with chopped onion and chopped green pepper
drain meat put in pot add about half a bottle of ketchup and brown sugar to taste and let simmer. stir quite often so it wont burn.
its good try it.
Prosciutto Tortellini
1 package (19) ounces frozen cheese tortellini
1 tablespoon flour
1 cup half-and-half
1/2 cup shredded Parmesan Cheese
10 thin slices of prosciutto, chopped
1 package (10 ounces) frozen peas

Cook tortellini according to package directions. Meanwhile, in a large skillet, combine flour and cream until smooth; stir in the cheeses. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened. Reduce heat.
Drain tortellini; add the cheese sauce. Stir in the prosciutto, peas, and pepper. Cook for 5 minutes or until heated through.

The idea of cooking is very frightening to many ... but you MUST get into the kitchen and start to get over the fright. First to make is something terribly simple, like spaghetti with canned sauce. First, start the sauce heating on medium heat. Next, fill the BIG pot with water to 3'; below the edge. Add three 'shakes' of salt one teaspoon of oil and set to boil. Measure your pasta, by servings and set aside. Stir the sauce and turn it down to medium low if it's bubbling, and cover. When the water starts boiling, add the pasta ... and note the time. Stir the pasta to separate it in the water. Cut a loaf of unsliced 'artisan' bread not quite through, and butter one side of each piece, add sliced garlic (you may 'mix' the garlic and butter before to make it easier, or you may use extra virgin olive oil with garlic mixed into it, for a 'low calorie' bread) and wrap in foil. Place in the center of the oven at 350 degrees. After 7 minutes from putting the pasta into the water, it should be 'done' (some may take 10 minutes ... read the package for time). Put a colander into the sink and pour the pasta and water into it, so the water goes away and the pasta is drained. Separate onto plates. Pour the heated sauce onto the plates. LET SIT for about three minutes, while the bread heats ... then remove the bread, put it IN THE FOIL that is folded back onto a plate or in a basket ... serve. People will MARVEL at your cooking ability ... and it's truly SIMPLE ... if you want to add meat, you may, just be sure the meat is thoroughly cooked before you add it to the sauce ... leftover steak, crumbled hamburger, chicken ... ANY meat works well with this and makes it 'special' ... serve with a green salad (add tomatoes, onions, cucumber, and mushrooms, and serve with a vinaigrette dressing) for a 'feast' ...
Try here they'll even show you how to do it ....
