HoneyBaked Ham Jambalaya

Heat oil in large Dutch oven over medium heat:

3 tablespoons olive oil

Add and saut茅 until tender (about 10 minutes):

2 large onions, diced

1 red bell pepper, diced

1 green bell pepper, diced

3 large garlic cloves, minced

Mix in and bring to a boil:

1 28-ounce can ready-cut tomatoes with juices

2 cups diced HoneyBaked Ham

1/2 cup dry white wine or chicken stock

1 teaspoon dried thyme

1 teaspoon dried basil

1 teaspoon paprika

1 Tablespoon chili powder

1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Stir in well:

3/4 cup long-grain white rice

Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer until rice is tender and most of the liquid is absorbed (about 20-25 minutes). Season with salt and pepper.
HAM STIR-FRY WITH ALMONDS

2 cups cubed ham

2 cups cooked white or brown rice (unsalted)

1 cup coleslaw mix

1 cup bean sprouts

1 bunch green onions, including greens, chopped to 1 inch pieces

1 can sliced mushrooms

1 small package whole almonds

1/4 cup pineapple juice

2 cloves garlic

soy sauce

Prepare rice according to package directions (do not add salt or butter). Keep warm. Add small amount of oil to very hot skillet or wok. Add green onions, ham, garlic, mushrooms, and almonds to the oil and stir-fry until ham is lightly brown and onions are tender-crisp.

Add cabbage and bean sprouts and continue to stir-fry. Add pineapple juice and soy sauce to taste. Cover and cook until all vegetables are tender. Serve over rice. If you like, pineapple chunks may also be added. Very good.

(tip: I crush the garlic - an easy way to do this is place 2 peeled cloves in a small baggie. Use a mallet to smash the garlic in the corner of the baggie - then turn baggie inside out over skillet to remove).

There's no substitute for a genuine Honey Baked ham, from an actual Honey Baked Ham store. The quality of the ham is superior; and it comes sliced on the bone. You just need to reheat it
I just mix honey, brown sugar and cinnamon together to form a paste. It will be sticky so just put it all over the ham and bake it according to the directions.

Good luck!!

Honey Glazed Ham

This ham tastes very much like the famous honey baked ham

but costs much less, and there's no need to fight the

crowds at holiday time. You can even buy the ham presliced to

make it easier and more like the original. It is very good.

(I do this while preparing the rest of the meal in the

kitchen so that I don't forget to baste!)

Prep Time: approx.

20 Minutes. Cook Time: approx. 1 Hour 15 Minutes. Ready

in: approx. 1 Hour 35 Minutes.

Makes 12 servings.

5 pounds ready-to-eat ham

1/4 cup whole cloves

1/4 cup dark corn syrup

2 cups honey

2/3 cup butter

Directions

1 Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C).

2 Score ham, and stud with the whole cloves. Place ham in

foil lined pan.

3 In the top half of a double boiler, heat the corn

syrup, honey and butter. Keep glaze warm while baking ham.

4 Brush glaze over ham, and bake for 1 hour and 15

minutes in the preheated oven. Baste ham every 10 to 15

minutes with the honey glaze. During the last 4 to 5 minutes

of baking, turn on broiler to caramelize the glaze.

Remove from oven, and let sit a few minutes before serving.
