ok. im looking for slow cooker recipe's anyone know any good ones preferably without mushroom's or some simple meal idea's it only needs to feed two, and for the slow cooker it needs to be done about 11 - 11:30 at night. so could you give me an estimated time on when i should start it. My favorite to cook in a slow cooker is pulled beef. It is so easy. I get a rump roast and marinate it in a Jack Daniel's marinade that i get at Wal-Mart. (It comes in a bag and you put the meat in the bag.)
I cut up a whole onion and slice it into thin, but long slices and palce them on the bottom of the cooker.
After marination, I insert garlic cloves into the roast. I make a slit in the roast with a paring knife where I want to put the garlic, then fill the whole with the garlic clove.
Then, I put the roast in the cooker and add just a bit of the marinade sauce. Maybe 2-3 tablespoons. Then I cook the meat on low. When you start it depends on the size of the roast. I usually use a very small 2-3 pound roast and cook it on low for 6-8 hours. (The beauty of cooking with a slow cooker on low is that you can let it cook longer without doing much damage.)
When the meat is thoroughly cooked, the meat will easily pull apart. Just take two forks and pull the meat apart to shred it. THEN I add about a cup of Sweet Baby Ray's Hickory and Brown Sugar barbeque sauce. Stir it all up and there you go! Some good eatin'!
If you can't find the Jack Daniel's marinade, you can subtitute a marinade that has a smoky flavor OR just use liquid smoke.
If you can't find Sweet Baby Ray's barbecue sauce, use a sauce that is a bit sweet; one that says it has honey or briown suagr.

Melt-In-Your-Mouth Short Ribs
';Slow-cooked in a mouthwatering sauce seasoned with thyme and garlic, these tender short ribs are full of flavor.';
INGREDIENTS (Nutrition)
3 pounds beef short ribs, cut into serving-sized pieces
2 tablespoons packed brown sugar
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon dried thyme leaves, crushed
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 (10.5 ounce) can Campbell's庐 Condensed French Onion Soup
1 (12 fluid ounce) bottle dark ale or beer
Hot mashed potatoes or egg noodles
Place the beef into a 3 1/2- to 6-quart slow cooker. Add the brown sugar, garlic, thyme and flour. Toss to coat. Stir the soup and ale in a small bowl. Pour over the beef.
Cover and cook on LOW for 8 to 9 hours* or until the beef is fork-tender. Serve with the mashed potatoes.
If you have any fresh vegatables or frozen vegatables. What you can do is take a wok if you have one if not a deep frying pan is good also. If you like meat you can add beef strips with the vegatables. Meat is optinal. Add what ever sauce you like or spices. This only takes less than ten minutes to cook everything. Hope this helps.
I love to throw a roast into the crockpot along with a jar of spagetti sauce, some italian seasoning (the one that comes premixed in a bottle) and extra garlic. Let cook 8-10 hours on low. Remove roast after cooking, shred and return to sauce. Serve over your favorite pasta along with a salad and garlic bread
Any kind of roast is really good in the slow cooker. Just put the roast, some beef broth, potatoes, carrots, and whatever other veggies you want in the slow cooker before you go to bed. It will be done the next day. My mum cooks hers for about 12 hours or so.
You can always refrigerate leftovers and reheat them later.
QUESADILLAS
This is extremely easy to make, and good to make if you鈥檙e in a hurry to make something. It tastes yummy!
Tortillas
1 can of diced tomatoes, drained
1 onion, diced
Cheddar cheese, grated
Hot peppers
1 can of black beans, drained, rinsed and mashed
Put a tortilla down on a baking sheet. Put on the beans, top with tomatoes, onion, hot pepper and cheese (or add your own favourite toppings). Bake at 350F for 5 min., when cheese is melted. Serve with salsa.
SHEPHERD鈥橲 PIE WITH CREAMY CORN FILLING
1 lb ground beef
2 onions, finely chopped
4 cloves garlic, minced
2 tsp. paprika
1 tsp. salt
陆 tsp. pepper
2 tbsp. all-purpose flour
1 c. condensed beef broth
2 tbsp. tomato paste
1 can (19 oz) cream style corn
4 c. mashed potatoes (seasoned with 1 tbsp. butter, 陆 tsp. salt and 录 tsp. black pepper)
录 c. shredded cheddar cheese
Optional: brown beef in a skillet. Add to stoneware. Brown onions and add remaining ingredients except for corn, mashed potatoes and cheese. Put onion mix over beef. (if you do not brown the ingredients first, add them in that order) Cover with corn, then top with mashed potatoes. Sprinkle cheese on top and cook on low for 4-6 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until hot and bubbly (longer if you did not brown the beef first).
