EASY APPLE CRISP





1 c. sugar


2 tsp. lemon juice


1/4 c. water


1/2 tsp. cinnamon


6 peeled and sliced large apples


3/4 c. flour


1/4 tsp. salt


6 t. butter





Combine 1/2 c. sugar, lemon juice, water and cinnamon in bottom of small baking pan. Slice in apples. Blend remaining 1/2 c. sugar, flour, salt and butter until crumbly. Spread over apples and pat smooth. Bake at 375 degrees for 40-50 minutes, until apples are tender and crust is browned. Serve hot with ice cream. This is a good recipe for apple crisp if you don't like the over-sugary oatmeal taste. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. In a 9 by 12 baking dish, combine apples, lemon juice, cinnamon, nutmeg and sugar. In a small bowl, mix flour or graham cracker crumbs, brown sugar and butter together using the tines of a fork and your fingers, working until even, small crumbles form. heres a simple recipe that works for any canned pie filling:








in 9x13 baking dish dump pie filling,


top with 1 box dry cake mix ( white or spiced works best.)


melt 2 sticks of butter and pour on top bake for 25-30 minutes.


you can add pecans or almonds ontop of cake mis to give a lil nutty kick
